"International Geriatrics and Gerontology" Japanese NMN Human Clinical Trial_Oral NMN is safe and can protect retinal health
According to a study published in "Geriatrics & Gerontology International" (Geriatrics & Gerontology International) by researchers from Osaka University and Kawasaki Medical University in Japan, male diabetic patients over the age of 65 took 250 mg of NMN orally daily for 24 weeks. In this study, 14 male diabetic patients over the age of 65 were randomly divided into the NMN group (daily oral NMN 250 mg), and the placebo group (daily oral 250 mg placebo). The researchers also found that there was no difference in visual acuity, intraocular pressure, etc. between the NMN group and the placebo group, all of which were within the normal range. The J-CHS assessment criteria consist of 5 components, weight loss (weight loss ≥2-3 kg within 6 months), fatigue (continuous fatigue for 2 weeks), low activity level (low level of physical activity < 1 day per week), Weak grip (<26 kg in men, <18 kg in women) and reduced walking speed (<1.0 m/s). The researchers found that the health status of the subjects in the NMN group was significantly improved through evaluation.
